How To Change Hard Disk Drive Icon In Windows 8.1/8/7/Vista/XP Easily

The Default Icons Of Windows Can Be Pretty Boring/Dull,Changing The Icon's To Your Wish Can Be Very Helpful , You can always change icon's with some software but it will slow your system down,there is a way to do that without slowing your PC, This Is A Very Simple Process , Lets See ,How You Can Get Some Thing Like I Have >



Just Do This Process One By One >>>>

STEP 1. Put your icon file (.ico) in the root of your drive. (example: C:icon_name.ico)

STEP 2. The Drives icon you do want to change, Open a new Text file in the root/main window.


STEP 3. Write this two lines :

[autorun] 
icon=icon_name.ico 

Icon_name can be any icon but the icon has to be in that drive .


STEP 4. Save The File as autorun.inf  , in the drive which's icon you want to change now (example: C:\).





Now , Restart Your Computer and wallah You are Aweome ! The Icon is set,now,if you wish you visual experience you can make this two files (ico + inf) hidden , it will have no effect on the HDD icon.

You Can Download Icons From Here . Pen drive or any re-writable media's icon can be change in the same method.

If you are still having trouble , then download these files,extract the zip and keep this in any drive you want to change icon, and replace the 1.ico file with any icon named 1.ico .
